On July 1st 2021 the current OFFshore Hub Director Prof Phil Watson will pass on the Directorship to Head of UWA Oceans Graduate School, and OFFshore Hub Project 3 Chief Investigator, Prof Christophe Gaudin in order to take up the Directorship of the new ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Transforming energy Infrastructure through Digital Engineering (TIDE).

Christophe will lead the OFFshore Hub through to the conclusion of this program on 31st Dec 2021, ensuring that the ongoing Impact/ Engagement/ Legacy initiative is successfully delivered.

Phil will take the reigns of the new five year TIDE research program which is focussed on developing new science and technology through digital engineering (the creation, use and embedment of data in engineering) to optimise the management of offshore energy infrastructure, a critical component of this nationally important industry. Further details on TIDE – including PhD and Post Doc opportunities – are available here.

We thank Phil for his immense efforts over the past four years and wish him all the very best with the TIDE program. We also extend a warm welcome to Christophe as the new Director and look forward to working closely with him to bring the OFFshore Hub program through to a successful conclusion.
