Jack Jorgensen

JJ

PhD Student - Project Five

Jack is exploring uncertainty quantification and propagation within simulation models applied to engineering applications on operating systems. This leads towards uncertainty assessment in the proposed Digital Twin paradigm. Specific applications are considered in fatigue life prediction, utilising statistical approaches to infer and predict the real-life evolution of fatigue damage of structures with uncertainty. Jack is developing the methodology for application to highly loaded bolted connections in offshore wind turbine structures, with a view to broader application.
