Associate Researcher

Rasoul is a Research Associate at the ARC Research Hub for Offshore Floating Facilities at the University of Western Australia. His research involves the development of frameworks and assessment tools, using Machine Learning and Data Analytics, for more efficient and risk-based structural integrity management of dynamic offshore assets, such as deep-water riser systems. Currently, Rasoul is developing an improved framework for more accurate fatigue assessment of operating flexible risers.

Rasoul has several years of professional work experience including working at DNV Oil & Gas as a Subsea Engineer (subsea pipeline and risers) on several Northwest Shelf subsea development projects, and as an Asset Integrity Engineer at both ROSEN and Worley on structural integrity assessment and risk-based inspection (RBI) projects.
